History: Aaron Salomon is a mutant, whose abilities manifested themselves, and changed his complexation and appearance to resemble a serpent or reptile, with arms and legs. He was recruited, along side other mutants (Burner, Lifer, Peepers and Shocker) to serve in Magneto’s new Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. They were originally formed to find and capture beings related to an alien craft – however, with the arrival of Captain America and S.H.I.E.L.D., the Brotherhood was forced to flee, and the alien known as “Mister One” exploded inside of the tiny vessel.

Magneto then abandoned them, and they remained together, without Magneto’s leadership, eventually finding employment with Mandrill, who used them to attack a Colorado Air Force base, but with the arrival of the Defenders, they were quickly defeated. When they were brought before the special forces of the United States to stand trial, they were surprised to be offered a full pardon, in exchange for service, to which they rapidly agreed. However, what they did not know is that they were sent to put a stop to the Hulk and managed to ambush him at a baseball stadium. However, the arrival of Valkyrie and Hellcat, who were members of the Defenders, as was Hulk, helped ensure that Hulk was able to escape.

Peepers left Mutant Force, and the remainder were employed by the Secret Empire to take down the Defenders. Mad Dog was put in charge, as he had a personal reason to go after the Defenders – Hellcat, in particular – at her wedding with Daimon Hellstorm, better known as the Son of Satan. However, Mutant Force faced defeat, yet again.

While in the custody of S.H.I.E.L.D., Professor Power arranged for their release, while the massive Leviathan created the much needed distraction. The operation by the Secret Empire to launch a satellite that would begin a world war was thwarted, and the members of Mutant Force were once again defeated by the Defenders.

Tired of relentlessly being defeated, Aaron Salomon joined up with Viper (Madame Hydra), an international terrorist and murder and became her lacky. During this time, his intelligence seemed to rapidly decrease, as he became almost like a pet to her (this could have easily been Viper’s doing with toxins that may have damaged his intelligence). He followed her plan to infiltrate Serpent Society and murder Sidewinder so that she could take over leadership and she could carry out her plan that would turn much of America’s people into serpent people (who would strongly resemble Slither’s form).

Aaron Salomon was however, defeated by Captain America’s partner, Nomad, and taken aboard and severely questioned by Nomad, then left, tied up aboard the ship when Nomad got all the information he thought he could get out of Aaron Salomon.

Slither would crawl back to Viper’s side and join her next plan to blind every American who owned or watched a television. Forming a new group called Fangs, Slither was joined by Bludgeon, Heat-Ray and Razorblade. However, Captain America, Battlestar, and Silver Sable were there to put a stop to them, and it was Silver Sable who repeatedly stabbed Slither with a number of different weapons and left him on the ground, bleeding out, moaning in intense pain.

Aaron Salomon returned to Mutant Force, and the team, just trying to get some quick money attempted to rob an armored truck, only to have the New Warriors arrive. Speedball bounced on Aaron Salomon, and pushed him with intense force and bounced Aaron Salomon right back into the truck. The rest of Mutant Force was quickly defeated.

Slither rejoined members of the Serpent Society when many of them answered the call to join Baron Helmut Zemo’s Army of Evil. He later appeared again, with Serpent Society, under the sway of Mephisto. Now under a new Viper (who was now calling himself Pit Viper)’s leadership, and rebranding of Serpent Society to Serpent Solutions, they attempted to complete an ancient ritual to summon forth Mephisto and be bestowed great favor and powers – and despite completing it, Mephisto did not appear, and Serpent Solutions was quickly defeated by the newly assembled AVENGE.R.S.

Powers: Slither greatly resembles a large snake with arms and legs, and has scaly skin. Slither can wrap his flexible body around an opponent as a snake can, and constrict himself, exerting suffocating pressure upon his victim. He’s been seen sliding into tight places, confirming that perhaps, his bones can be compressed to allow him to squeeze into narrow areas. He’s displayed superhuman strength, endurance, speed, durability and reflexes, beyond a standard human’s limits.
