History: Damek was born and raised during the 2099 Universe, among others who revered Alex Tennyson and the Dreamkiller. As it would turn out, the Dreamkiller was an ancestor of Damek’s and he’d been lied to that “The Powell” – also known as Darkhawk – killed Dreamkiller, who had been one of the world’s greatest heroes of all time. This misleading fact allowed for a small group of occult members who believed this lie to manipulate Damek and convince him to travel back in time and kill The Powell.
When Damek first arrived, he discovered that not only was Dreamkiller still alive, but he’d been taken prisoner. Using his powers, he freed his ancestor, believing he’d helped release the world’s greatest hero – only to discover that the Dreamkiller was ravenous and bloodthirsty – not the hero he had been portrayed to be. When Dreamkiller threated to murder Chris Powell, Damek turned on Dreamkiller, blasting him and freeing Chris Powell.
When a portal opened back to his time line, Damek declined to go, having been lied to all of his life about Dreamkiller and Darkhawk. He decided to remain in the current timeline and learn about true heroes and seek to find his place with a new start, away from the lies and manipulation that had shaped all of his life.
He would eventually team up with the likes of Spider-Man, Nova, Speedball, and Savage Steel when an attack from an alien race known as the Mahari came. After the battle, Damek’s whereabouts are currently unknown.
