The issue opens with someone trying to break into the Holy Ghost Church, but Cloak and Dagger appears and take care of the lone thief and scare him away. Father Mike comes out to see what’s going on and tells Cloak & Dagger that the hospital has released Francis Delgado into his care. Dagger is happy to see him, unaware that he plans to kill Dagger for Mr. Jip at some point. A moment after that, Rebecca “Rusty” Nales bursts into the Church holding Brigid O’Reilly.

Brigid reveals the mysterious stranger who restored her life to this new form and “hides” behind the patch over her eye is none other than Mr. Jip. Dagger uses her light to momentarily expel Mr. Jip but knows he will regain control of Brigid soon enough.

Speaking of Mr. Jip, the scene cuts to him striking a deal with Doctor Doom, exchanging an ancient tome of Black Magic for Dagger (when captured) to power Doctor Doom’s next biggest invention.

Speaking of Mr. Jip, Dagger explains to Brigid and Rebecca, the origin she was told in regards to how Mr. Jip came to be. Father Mike pulls Cloak aside and tells him of a doctor who may be able to restore Tandy’s sight; but they’d need to leave tonight. Delgado is there after Cloak leaves, and Father Mike thanks him for the information about the doctor. Cloak convinced her – with Brigid’s help – to go see the doctor and not to worry about Brigid’s problems.

Back in a strange home, Delgado tells Mr. Jip that all is going according to plan; but then Mr. Jip devours Delgado and assumes his form. While no one is around, Delgado (Mr. Jip) murders Father Mike with a knife in the back. Delgado escorts Tandy right by her uncle’s corpse, but she never sees it because of her blindness. Tandy boards the airplane with Delgado (Mr. Jip) unaware she’s not headed to a doctor to restore her sight; but rather to be a slave to Doctor Doom.

Elsewhere, Cloak teleports Rebecca and Brigid and ends up in a frozen tundra, where the two detectives seek shelter in a tent, looking to find and put an end to Mr. Jip.
