This issue begins with Dagger meeting up with Spider-Man’s ex-girlfriend, The Black Cat. The Black Cat helps Dagger through some fashion statements (Interesting note; one of the shirts Dazzler looks at is a Goo-Gams shirt, which is a reference to the Goo-Gams which appeared throughout Power Pack as cartoon characters). Dagger catches Black Cat stealing some stuff and assures her there’s no need since she has credit cards; but Black Cat retorts she steals because it’s fun. At a jewelry store, Black Cat uses an unsuspecting Dagger as a distraction, while Black Cat steals from the safe. At a club, as Dagger is telling Black Cat that she wonders how Cloak is, two men approach and introduce themselves. They dance on the floor until Black Cat recommends going to an expensive restaurant to go eat at. They enjoy an expensive dinner, and then Black Cat tells Dagger to come with her to the ladies room to “powder their noses” – but instead, she climbs out the restroom window and tells Dagger that if she doesn’t follow, she will be stuck explaining to the men why Black Cat isn’t with them (and that there was no intention to help pay for the dinner). They take a cab and escape, and Black Cat goes on to show she has the wallets of both of the men. Dagger takes a ride back to Holy Ghost Church, where she finds Cloak in the hands of Mr. Jip, with Night and Day at his side.
