History: Jubilation Lee developed her fashion sense very early on, sporting her traditional yellow raincoat type look, even when she was young and still living at home; and her iconic large, pink sunglasses also come from this era of her life, as she’s seen arguing with her mother about fashion (with posters of Dazzler and Lila Cheney in the background). Born to a prosperous Chinese immigrant family, Jubilation Lee was eventually sent to an exclusive Beverly Hills School. It was at this school that Jubilation Lee began her passion and skill for gymnastics. Surprisingly, despite the attention it took to hone her gymnastic skill, Jubilation Lee also enjoyed the leisurely life style of rollerblading with her friends at local malls, essentially becoming what was known as a “Mall Rat” (or sometimes, not so affectionately a “Mall Brat”).

When her parents were killed by hit men by the name of Reno and Molokai, she was sent to an orphanage. Unhappy at the orphanage, Jubilation Lee escaped and began roaming the malls more frequently, often stealing what she needed to survive. Her mutants powers did not manifest until a brief scuffle with Mall Security, generating small, explosive energy.

Realizing she now had potential to use her mutant powers in a way to earn her money; she began using her ability to create small fireworks to entertain mall customers for small sums of money. The local mall security grew tired of her antics and contacted an organization called “The M-Squad.”

While combating the M-Squad, Jubilation came in contact with a number of the female X-Men at the time: Dazzler, Psylocke, Rogue and Storm. With their help, she had managed to beat the M-Squad; and it was here she seemed to adopt the name of “Jubilee.” Interested, she followed the X-Men back to their Australian base, and remained hidden until the Reavers showed up looking to capture Wolverine.

Jubilee found Wolverine crucified upon a “X” shapped cross, being tortured by the Reavers. An approaching storm convinced the Reavers to cease their torturing until the storm blew over, leaving Jubilee alone with Wolverine. Wolverine managed to pull his hands free of the crucifixion, at which point Jubilee moved forward to help nurse Wolverine back to health.

When the Reavers returned, Wolverine, still severely wounded, his healing factor taxed beyond its limit, and Jubilee made their escape and managed to get to Madripoor. It was with Wolverine, that she began to travel the world with him, and used her powers to fight against the Hand and even caused severe damage to Mandarin’s castle, when she, Psylocke and Wolverine were his prisoners.

Jubilee would go on to form a strong bond with Wolverine, but eventually wanted to do something less stressful, so when the notion of Generation X was born, Jubilee happily volunteered to join the new group, led by both Sean Cassidy (Banshee) and Emma Frost (White Queen) and consisted of fellow teen mutants, Husk, Synch, M, Chamber, Skin, Penance, and briefly, Mondo.

With Generation X, Jubilee battled the likes of Juggernaut, Omega Red, as well as their would be arch-rival, Emplate. During her stay at the Massachusetts Academy, she was abducted by Bastion, leader of Operation: Zero Tolerance, but because of her experience with the X-Men had managed to resist his mental probes for a good amount of time, hiding valuable information from him. Once again, she proved her worth and held her own as she escaped.

One of the most important moments of her time with Generation X was when she discovered the leader behind the murders of her parents – a man named Hunter Brawn. She managed to track him down and with the help of her friends, defeated him. Her rage, and her powers flared brightly, once he was in her hands – but rather than kill him, she destroyed his warehouse, and most of what he owned – leaving the local authorities to arrest him.

During the events of “M-Day”, thanks to Scarlet Witch, Jubilee was one of many who had lost her powers. She worked closely with others who lost their powers, trying to help them cope. She ran into Omega Red, and was saved by Wolverine. She disappeared shortly after that.

She has since reappeared as a member of the New Warriors, as Wondra; this time housing super human strength!

Early in this newly formed team of “New Warriors” the team suffers a casualty when Longstrike, Phaser’s sister is killed. Night Thrasher is hard on the New Warriors and tells them that this is a war, and there will be casualties.

Sometime later, at the Appalachian Safehouse, Night Thrasher finds that the entire area is undisturbed. He had hoped that if Dwayne were still alive he would be hiding here. He does however, managed to snag some of Dwayne’s DNA for testing. As he exits the house however, he discovers he’s not alone and is confronted by Counter Force which consists of: Justice, Rage, Debrii, Slapstick and two of the Scarlet Spiders.

Both Rage and Justice try to talk to Night Thrasher but he refuses to discuss it with them and a fight breaks out – and just when it seems like Night Thrasher’s been captured – the arrival of the New Warriors tips the balance once more.

Throughout the fight Night Thrasher is thinking about how Justice and the rest of Counter Force think he’s a Skrull – while he’s wondering if it was Skrull who perished at Stamford, not his own half-brother. As the fight processes, Night Thrasher realizes that this has to end quickly.

He decides to stop the fight and unveil who he is. He explains his actions about looking for the truth about Dwayne – and whether he would ever take part of some reality television show as a part of the “New Warriors.” Justice steps up and informs Donyell that he can help – because he knows the location of Dwayne’s body.

The New Warriors, along with Counter Force, arrive at the Helicarrier only to find it under attack by Skrulls. The New Warriors and Counter Force get out of the plane as Night Thrasher crashes it into one of the Skrull ships. After that, they follow Justice onto the Helicarrier and begin helping the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents against the Skrulls.

As the New Warriors and Counter Force battle the Skrulls, Night Thrasher grabs Justice and enables “ghost mode” – allowing them to phrase through the floor. The others continue to battle the Skrulls – and just when it seems like they might be doing all right – the arrival of a Super Skrull, looking a lot like Nova, appears and tilts the odds back in favor of the Skrulls.

Meanhile Justice leads Night Thrasher to the bodies of what appears to be Dwayne and Microbe, with Nita’s ashes in a jar. Night Thrasher takes a sample from Dwayne’s body and begins the DNA comparison. All three turn out to be positive identifications – proving that the Dwayne, Namorita and Microbe did indeed die at Stamford. Night Thrasher turns to Justice and explains, he’s taking the remains with him. Justice, after a brief pause, agrees to help. They bury the New Warriors and create a memorial plaque for Dwayne, Namorita and Zachary.

Later, the New Warriors burst in through the roof and the Dread Dealers are subjected to Pym Particles and reduced in size.

Their victory is short lived however, with the sudden appearance of Sykes, Givens and the New Warriors Task Force. The New Warriors make a break for it – but Blackwing, who is carrying Night Thrasher gets tagged and the two crash to the ground. Panicking, Tempest screams out and doesn’t see the net shot at her – Wondra tries to push her out of the way but gets snagged.

One of the New Warriors Task Force members fires a shot – but Ripcord kicks him at the last moment. The shot hits the flame tank of another New Warriors Task Force member – and Ripcord stops to try and help him. Skybolt seeing that the tank is about to explode tries to get to Ripcord – he manages to grab her and start flying away – but the tank explodes, causing a blinding flash. Night Thrasher gets the other New Warriors together, and they quickly make their escape – unsure of the fate of both Skybolt and Ripcord. They later learn that both perished in the fire.

The New Warriors are later teleported to an alternate reality, in which Dwayne Taylor has become Iron Man, and Tony Stark has become Night Thrasher. Dwayne has become an evil corporate leader, and while Donyell struggles to not betray his brother, in the end he knows he has to stop him. After a long fight, the New Warriors defeat Dwayne, and return to their own time.

Donyell tells them to keep their tech equipment regardless, because they had definitely deserved it. As everyone exits the room, Wondra approaches Night Thrasher and the two seem to be ready to say something – instead, Wondra kisses Night Thrasher on the cheek then follows the others out of the room, leaving Donyell there to sit and think about all that he had done – and what he was going to do next.

Wondra eventually returned to the X-Men, as Jubilee, and still powerless.

Later, on the beach where Pixie and Jubilee are speaking, Jubilee is affected by a bio-engineered virus by a vampire suicide bomber. Pixie rushes her back to the X-Men where they confirm that she’s been injected by a “vampire virus” that was slowly turning her into a vampire, and impacting her ability to tolerate sunlight. Others on the beach, who had been also affected by the bio-engineered virus, begin changing into full vampires and following the commands of a mysterious figure known as “Lord of Vampires.”

Jubilee reveals that she can feel something calling to her, and explains that her will to fight it is gone, and she no longer wishes to resist the calling she hears. Jubilee leaves and is bitten by Xarus and captured; who hopes that the X-Men will come for her, and that he has a trap for them. His main interest seems to be in Wolverine. Wolverine falls for the trap and is temporarily transformed into a vampire himself, but manages to over come it. Jubilee was captured and held in a cell beneath Utopia, ignoring Blade’s suggestion that the best thing for her was to kill her.

Gambit encourages Wolverine to travel with Paris with Jubilee, where they meet Gambit, who is there with X-23. Gambit confronts Wolverine about the difference between his treatment of X-23 and Jubilee, as they both look to him as a “Father Figure.” X-23 and Jubilee form a bond; where X-23 helps Jubilee try to control her bloodlust, and Jubilee shows X-23 how act and be a normal girl in the world.

She is later taken by a group of vampires calling themselves The Forgiven, who have learned to move beyond their bloodlust and move about in daylight.

Later, Jubilee returns to the X-Men, still a vampire, with an orphaned baby that she has named Shogo, who was infected with Arkea. Jubilee officially adopts Shogo legally. Eventually, Jubilee becomes a teacher at the newly-renamed Xavier Institute mentoring students deemed unsuited to become either X-Men.

It’s not long after, that Monet falls under the influence of her evil brother, Emplate, and attacks the school. Under Emplate’s command, Monet fights Jubilee and takes away the medallion she uses as protection from sunlight. Realizing the amulet protected Jubilee, the possessed Monet then threw Jubilee out of the school where, once she was exposed to sunlight, she began burning! Knowing Jubilee was facing certain death, the mutant Quentin Quire sacrificed the shard of the Phoenix Force he carried within him to save her, curing Jubilee of her vampirism and restoring her mutant powers in the process.

Jubilee eventually visits her parents graves, where she’s met by Jono, formerly of Generation X, and her adopted son, Shogo, who now appears to be about three or four years of age.

Height: 5’5”
Weight: 115 lbs.
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Black

Powers: None currently, or so it is believed. As a mutant, Jubilee was once able to generate multi-colored “fireworks” energy plasma from her finger tips. The intensity of her powers varied, from simple “sparkles” to being able to cause a massive explosion, with the ability to detonate matter on a molecular level. She has currently been seen with the ability to have super human strength, to as of yet, unknown limits. It is believed this is not a mutant power, but amplified strength through armor she wears on her arms.
Accessories: None

Note: Jubilee is a highly-skilled gymnast and rollerblader. She is trained in first aid and CPR. She also possesses fair thieving skills and hand-to-hand combat experience.
