The issue begins with Renee Deladier, now under the name of Ecstasy using Cloak’s powers to destroy an arms dealer. Several armed officers show up and tell her to stop; she refuses and pulls the officers into the shadows of the cloak, and siphons their life force.

The scene shifts to Tandy as Dennis joins her, and the two take a walk around the city, where Dennis can see that Tandy is making tremendous progress with her physical therapy and dealing with her blindness.

A quick cut to the Holy Ghost Church, Francis Delgado tells Tandy’s uncle, Father Mike, that the Lord told him to come back to the Holy Ghost Church and try to make amends for his previous behavior. (This is obviously a lie). Father Mike accepts his help.

Another scene change that comes and goes quickly, as we see Brigid O’Reilly as Mayhem return to her apartment, and the mysterious figure asks if she has made up her mind, and Brigid says, “I want to live.”

Kingpin learns that Renee Deladier has tapped into his files and hires an assassin by the name of the Disciplinarian to take her down.

Tandy goes to the Holy Ghost Church to visit and is surprised to see Francis Delgado there. He explains that he overcame his illness and intends to make up for his behavior (then thinks about how he can’t wait to slit her throat, essentially). Tandy eventually goes home ill and Father Mike goes to visit her and finds her burning up. She explains she’s holding all of her light inside herself so she can give it to Cloak; because she can feel he’s coming back for her. Father Mike takes her up to the roof where she unleashes her light.

On a plane, Renee Deladier sees the burst of light after killing one of her own men who was about to betray her, and mentally assures Dagger that soon, she will be coming for her.

The next day, Tandy is walking with her stepfather, Phillip, when someone puts a gun to their heads!
