The issue opens up with Margaret Power (mother to the Power Pack children) getting up to use the restroom; only to see a ghost like creature pop out and tell her to go away. She lifts the toilet seat again and finds nothing there and decides she did not have to go to the restroom that bad, and goes back to bed.
Meanwhile, outside, the Power Pack children, using their powers are trying to find a way back into their room, since the window had somehow become locked while they were out. Alex uses his cloud form to slip through the air conditioner then open the window from the inside.
The next day, James and Margaret get everyone up to go to the Whitney Biennial, and their neighbor Cathy Guerra brings her son, Nick, over to go with the Power family, while she and her husband go to speak to the man who wants to buy them out of their co-op. James says he’s surprised, and Cathy explains it’s because the apartment complex is haunted. Margaret confesses to having seen what she believed to be a ghost in the toilet.
They go to the museum but leave after Jack makes a joke about ghosts in the toilet. Back at the apartment, they run into Mr. Beck, who is the one buying out residents of their co-op. The Powers reject his offer again; and that night, the Power Pack children decide to go ghost hunting. The kids head down to the boiler room and a mysterious figure – named, none other than the Spider-Man foe – Mysterio! – watches the kids. Mysterio makes the walls seep with slime then a ghost appear and one of Jack’s energy balls destroys the wall (and the device Mysterio used to create the illusion). Mysterio unleashes several monster robots and illusions before trying to take on Power Pack himself, but he’s easily defeated but manages to escape before the police arrive.
