The issue begins with Tyrone finding someone wrapped in the cowls of the Cloak. He unfolds it and discovers it’s Tandy Bowen, but she looks like a vampire and stabs him with a light knife, before biting into his neck, then injecting something else into his neck. Tandy’s appearance changes to Renee Deladier, better known as Ecstasy, who laughs about abandoning him to the very darkness that he deserves to be lost in.

He awakens from the nightmare and goes about his day. At the bus stop he sees a woman that looks like Tandy; but turns out not to be. As he climbs on the bus, the bus driver is a woman who looks like Tandy. Tyrone flees and his stuttering seems to return.

At the bank, one of Crimson Daffodil’s men strikes Rebecca “Rusty” Nales; and Crimson Daffodil immediately forces his lackey to apologize by using his empathic abilities.

Back at the Holy Ghost Church, Francis Delgado is cleaning and biding his time to strike out at Tandy when Ecstasy appears. He swears that he will never betray his master to this new, more, alluring Cloak – but when she wraps him in her cloak and kisses him, he immediately tells her where she can find Tandy Bowen. The Disciplinarian shows up a moment later and Francis Delgado refuses to give up her location (for fear the assassin would kill Tandy before he could) and Disciplinarian freezes time and proceeds to shoot Francis Delgado through the chest.

Cutting back to Tyrone, suddenly everyone he sees that’s a female resembles not only Tandy Bowen – but Dagger, baring the white circle around her eye – even his own wife and baby appear to be versions of Tandy Bowen or Dagger.

Speaking of Tandy Bowen, at the bank Ecstasy suddenly appears and pulls one of the bank robbers into her robes and leaves him nearly drained of all life. She then grabs Rebecca “Rusty” Nales, but Dagger tells her to stop. Ecstasy releases Rebecca. Crimson Daffodil tries to manipulate Renee’s pleasure center in her mind with his empathy projection; but finds that hate, pleasure, pain are all the same to her – making her immune. She slaps him aside. Dagger then projects light into Ecstasy who feeds off the light; but, she’s unaware that deep inside the very fabric of the cloak’s shadows – a figure sees the light like a beacon. Disciplinarian suddenly shows up, just as Tyrone begins to emerge from the shadows of the cloak, forcing Ecstasy to deal with him as Disciplinarian plans on killing her. Dagger focuses on the sound of his voice and takes him down, after Crimson Daffodil mistakenly stepped in front of her light daggers previously.

Tyrone and Renee fight for control of the Cloak and briefly blink out; before re-appearing with Tyrone back as Cloak! However, with Crimson Daffodil unconscious, his henchmen revert to their violent ways and grab Rebecca “Rusty” Nales as a hostage; but just as suddenly as everyone else seemed to appear, Brigid O’Reilly appears – once again human (though wearing an eye patch) and guns down the henchmen holding her former partner hostage. Crimson Daffodil recovers and kisses Dagger, after some words of kindness before escaping; and Dagger is left wondering – did she want to kiss him or was it the influence of his powers.

Later, Cloak receives a shipment of the drug Ecstasy, then hears Dagger cry out. He runs over to see the villains: Jester, Hydro-Man, the Fenris Twins, a new villain named Rock, and what appears to be the Incredible Hulk, who have captured Dagger!
