History: Zelda DuBois possesses what is believed to be a natural ability to move and sway in such a way that not only is she capable of charming snakes, but even people seem to fall under her sway. She would soon join an organization known as the Circus of Crime. Shortly after joining, she found herself in conflict with Spider-Man, Daredevil and even the Hulk. Believing that the Ringleader (the current leader of the Circus of Crime) was responsible, she elected to have him removed and the others agreed – moving Clown into the leader position in the Circus of Crime.

During one of the incidents shortly after, Spider-Man was investigating the Circus of Crime, and refused to strike Princess Python; instead begging for her to surrender. Spider-Man was knocked into her snake-pit, and in the ensuing chaos, the Ringleader tried to take advantage and knocked out the Clown and took the treasure that’d been stolen – but Princess Python and the other members of the Circus of Crime caught up to him and saw he’d attempted to steal everything from them. They were, however, all rounded up by the police and taken into custody.

The Circus of Crime would strike again, later, when they attempted to attack the Avengers during Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne’s wedding. Janet herself had been the one who took down Princess Python.

Princess Python tried her luck with a new group, known as the Serpent Squad, but they were however defeated by Jack Monroe, better known as Nomad. Princess Python made her way back to the Circus of Crime, but was then quickly recruited into Sidewinder’s Serpent Society organization, where they’d been hired by A.I.M. to find and kill M.O.D.O.K. which they were able to successfully do (with Death Adder and Cottonmouth delivering the killing blows to M.O.D.O.K. while the other members were fighting Captain America). Captain America caught up with Princess Python who had fled the fight. She explained that she had no fighting abilities of her own and couldn’t go through with the idea of murdering someone. Captain America released her, but the Serpent Society caught up with her and captured her. Sidewinder was concerned she could reveal secrets about Serpent Society, so he had her mind wiped and told Death Adder to bring her back to the Circus of Crime. The saucer that Death Adder was using for transportation malfunctioned during transit. As he hailed a cab to call for Princess Python, who was still unconscious in the saucer, the cab driver was none other than Scourge, who shot and killed Death Adder through the seat of the taxi.

Her son, Daniel, who had also taken the role of a supervillain named “Executioner”, would later attempt to try and kill her by using a car bomb. Though she was right next to the car when it exploded, she would go on to have survived, later appearing with Pit Viper’s Serpent Society, which he’d rebranded as “Serpent Solutions.” It’s unclear how she may have survived (whether Sidewinder somehow had been aware and teleported her away, or some other method; that has never been made clear). Serpent Solutions had been trying to recreate an ancient relic and complete a ritual that would summon forth Mephisto, who would bestow upon them great power. However, despite collecting the artifacts and completing the ritual, Mephisto never showed and Serpent Solutions were defeated by the newly formed AVENGE.R.S. and taken into custody.
