History: Born near Jerusalem, Ruth Bat-Seaph grew up serving the Israeli Super Agents after her mutant power had manifested itself, serving as a police officer in Tel Aviv as her cover.

One of Sabra’s first mission was taking on the Incredible Hulk, whom she’d mistakenly believed had been working with Arab terrorists; only to have the Hulk deliver a gut-wrenching speech about the current state of affairs between Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

She would then be recruited for the very first Contest of Champions between Death and the Grand Master, being forced to work along side the Arabian Knight, whom, due to their opposing views, she had difficulty working with.

Not long after, Sabra’s son Jacob, would perish in a terrorist attack – and it was at this time, she disobeyed a direct command to stand down – and instead, tracked down the terrorists, one by one and brought them all to justice.

She would then find herself protecting the Prime Minister of Israel, Yitzhak Rabin. She helped him against a terrorist attack – and met Batal, whom she clearly had a rivalry with. She would suddenly fall under the sway of someone’s control and attack Batal and fight the New Warriors, before she was finally defeated. It remains unknown who had gained control of her mind and why.

Many years later, she would find herself caught up into the anti-mutant hysteria, being a mutant herself. She worked closely with Charles Xavier up until Genosha had been demolished by Sentinels; and after the events of “M-Day” – Sabra had retained her powers.

Sabra would join O*N*E* and join Iron Man’s pro-registration during Civil War, helping track down unruly mutants, which she regarded no better than terrorists if they felt the need to hide and not take responsibility for their actions and powers.

During the events of Secret Invasion, Sabra found herself attacked by several Super Skrulls which she apparently defeated. She appeared again, responding to Spider-Man’s call for help against Doctor Octopus. During this time, she’s shot by Crossbones, but it proved to only be a glancing shot.

Sabra was last seen representing the Israeli government when she attended Black Panther’s meeting in the Eden Room of Avengers Mountain.

Height: 5’11″
Weight: 150 lbs.
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Black

Powers: Sabra’s mutant ability allows her to enhance her own physical abilities such as strength, speed, agility, reflexes, endurance and stamina to super human levels. She can withstand impacts of high caliber rifle fire, for example. She also has the ability to transfer “energy” into another, which allows her to grant someone greater strength, endurance, and mimic what her own powers do to her – as well, as she was seen healing someone using this method of her powers.

Weapons: Sabra carries a number of weapons and has police officer as well as anti-terrorist training, making her an expert with just about any weapon she can get her hands on.

Note – In some books, they seem to indicate that Sabra may not be a mutant, but her powers may be something similar to what the Super Soldier Serum had done for Captain America, but done through the Israeli government.
