History: Kyle Grobe and his son Darrion Grobe were working for a company known as Alchemax in a divergent future, hoping to create armor that would allow for safe passage through the time stream. During their experimentation, they discovered the Kinetic Energy Dimension (same dimension for which Speedball gets his powers) and noted that time does not exist in the Kinetic Dimension which would mean passing through it should be relatively safe. However, Kyle wanted to see the armor completed and in his haste, fell into the time stream wearing the armor. Kyle, unfortunately perished, as the time stream caused his personality to change and be warped and become one with the armor, creating a techno-organic being that Timeslip referenced as “Advent.”

Darrion Grobe sought to fix the complications his father had caused in the time stream. Unfortunately, when Darrion created a duplicate of Speedball and proceeded to swap places with Speedball, this caused further ripples. (See Darrion Grobe for more)

The New Warriors were forced to enter the Kinetic Dimension, where from there, they were able to successfully defeat Advent.
