History: Little is known about Jeremy Swimming Bear before his illegal activities in smuggling Atlantean Artifacts, which brought him in conflict with Namorita. During a bust, Speedball and Namorita attacked the smugglers on the dock and discovered exactly what they were smuggling. When a few made an attempt to escape on a boat, it was Namorita who gave pursuit and was ambushed by Jeremy Swimming Bear wearing the “Sea Urchin” armor. Jeremy had recognized Namorita, and knew who she was, and her relation to Sub-Mariner, and claimed he was not impressed, nor was he worried. The heat-conducting coils had weakened Namorita, which allowed Jeremy to eject several blades that pinned Namorita to the boat, by piercing her wrists and legs. He then proceeded to kick her, and repeatedly pummel her with his armored fists, until she was not even recognizable. He then extended a blade and severed off her ponytail, effectively scalping her, before discarding her into the ocean, with little care if she lived or died.
The next time Sea Urchin returns to the ocean floor to recover more Atlantean Artifacts, he encountered Namorita again; though this time she is wearing armor (Blood-Code Carapace), that according to Atlantean Tradition, forced her to either kill her enemy or die at their hands. Sea Urchin does not seem the least bit worried initially; however, Namorita is ready for him and easily dodges all of his attacks. Sea Urchin attempts to electrocute Namorita, but rapidly learns of the natural ability to absorb such attacks. She crushes his metallic hand, forcing him to try to flee, but she cuts off his escape and pulls him back into the water, her fingers cracking the glass display around his head, promising him that death at those depths would be painful. At the last moment, she realizes she’s not a murderer and throws him on his boat, where she learns that it’s Michael Shauneghann, of Project: Earth who has been working undercover and tipping her off to Sea Urchin’s activities.
Jeremy Swimming Bear is later found innocent of any crime; since the salvaged Atlantean Artifacts were from abandoned areas, and not being stolen; just as Namor had warned Namorita.
Sea Urchin appeared to cross paths again with the New Warriors, this time, dealing arms in association with Cardinal. When the New Warriors arrive and make the bust, Sea Urchin attempts to escape in a helicopter which is brought down by the new heroine, Turbo (Mickey).
Sea Urchin later joined Attuma’s team called Deep Six, which consisted of: Attuma, Nagala, Orka, Piranha, Sea Urchin, and Tiger Shark, in an attempt to put an end to Sub-Mariner. However, the Defenders (consisting of Sub-Mariner, Doctor Strange, Hulk, Nighthawk, Hellcat, Valkyrie and Silver Surfer) puts an end to the Deep Six, which then disbands.
Jeremy Swimming Bear’s current whereabouts remain unknown; although one thing is certain; he is undoubtedly still involved in illegal salvaging.

Armor: Jeremy Swimming Bear wears a red, armored suit equipped with various weaponry such as a heat conduction coil to snare opponents, tiny blades he could fire from his gauntlets that emitted a heat-flash to dehydrate opponents and a longer blade that popped out of his right hand. The armor could also emit electricity when grasping an opponent and was also equipped with large claws. The armor granted Sea Urchin enhanced strength, durability and resistance to injury.
