History:  Kraa is one of the few remaining members of his race, known as the Luphomoids. His planet, and most of his people perished when Galactus drained the life energy from their homeworld. It is unknown how Kraa managed to survive the ordeal, however, when he learned that his brother Zorr had been killed by a Nova Centurion (Rhomann Dey), he swore he would crush and murder every Nova Centurion he could track down and had essentially made that his sole life’s purpose.

Kraa tracked down a pair of Nova Centurions and decimated their planet, leaving only ash in the wake of his assault. Queen Adora, of the Nova Corps, dispatched several Nova Centurions in an effort to stop Kraa – but they too crumbled beneath Kraa’s vicious assault. Kraa swore that after he took care of taking down the Nova Corps home base of Xandar, that he would then turn his attention to Earth and lay it to waste, because that had been where his brother Zorr had been killed.

Queen Adora knew that perhaps the only Nova Corp that could stop Kraa’s assault would be Richard Rider. Two Centurions, Muraitak (a Skrull) and Grot ventured to Earth and captured Richard Rider and brought him back to Xandar just as the ship was attacked by Kraa. Richard used the ship’s power core to launch an attack against Kraa’s ship which had forced Kraa to crash land on a nearby planet, but the ship which Richard Rider had used to draw power from had also exploded as a result of the overcharged power core.

Richard Rider and Grot descended on the planet to examine the wreckage to see if Kraa had survived – and he blasted Grot, apparently killing him. Richard, as Nova survived, but had to momentarily retreat – and in doing so, altered his costume to resemble its original appearance before confronting Kraa again – using its appearance to throw off Kraa, because it’d been the same version of the costume that Dey had worn when he slew Zorr. To add further confusion, the Skrull Nova Corpsman, Muraitak, arrived and took the form of Zorr – this caused Kraa to pause – and then threaten Earth would be next – this allowed Nova to land a punch that finally knocked Kraa out.

A squadron of Nova Centurions then arrived and imprisoned Kraa in a containment vault.

Height: 12″
Weight: 2 tons
Eyes: Red
Hair: None
Skin: Light Blue

Powers: Kraa possess incredible strength and durability. He was easily able to level buildings simply by punching them.

Weapons: Kraa carries a large weapon that’s capable of shooting powerful concussive energy. He also wears (purple and green) armor; the benefits (if any) of this armor are unknown.

Note: In Nova (Volume 3), Nebula claims to be the daughter of Kraa’s brother, Zorr. However, she’s also claimed to be the grand-daughter of Thanos; which would probably connect Zorr to Thanos. So it remains debatable that things Nebula say may always be the truth. So whether she is related to Zorr or Thanos remains unclear.
