I enjoyed the book greatly. It moved along well, did a good job introducing characters and even managed to give a little personality to everyone in a very small window of pages.
I love the Villain choice. Wont spoil anything but I like him as a not outright evil bad guy.
My biggest complaint is the Speedball stuff. I’m sorry he isn’t the same character he was in his book or the new warriors. Even when it was early in the series he wasn’t stupid about picking fights. Where is all the character development, from Avengers academy.
Vance was handled acceptably, i was worried but the conversation in the book referencing his time as an avenger and remembering / accessing some avengers info files, as well as how the fight at the start was concluded put me at ease they at least have some idea of the character.
The gripes about Speedy aside i thought it was a great book and recommend picking it up. I just hope they give a reason for the speedy oddness and bring him more in line with where he is supposed to be in current continuity.
I hadn’t read anything of the new scarlet spider stuff? How did they do handling his character?
