Today in 1981, Firestar made her television debut in the pilot episode of Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, written by Dennis Marks and directed by Don Jurwich and Bob Richardson. The role was voiced by actress Kathy Garver.

Though Firestar only appeared in Volume One of the New Warriors, she was rapidly loved – and that says something about the character, as well as the creative team behind the book who did so much with her! I have a profile of her (focusing on her time with the New Warriors, but side note – I should really update it to include summaries of her post New Warriors stuff!) – and thankfully New Warriors Continuity Conundrum is a great source for that!
