Another for the food bank project Man, this was a real flashback to the 90s. Probably both the most fun and tedious character to draw on the team. Mixed media on 7×10 watercolour paper.

Over on the New Warriors Facebook Group, a recent conversation came up about The Amazing Spider-Man: Friends and Enemies, which features Spider-Man (naturally), but also has a large portion of the story with strong guest appearances by Darkhawk, Nova (Rich) and Speedball. As a matter of fact, it’s almost half way through the issue before Spider-Man is even seen. The story focuses on a new team of heroes known as the Metahumes (though they’re mind controlled as villains at first). Because I enjoy undeveloped characters, because I feel like there’s so much potential there to explore (just look what Fabian did originally with The New Warriors!) – I decided to go back, re-read it, and add it to the site.
