History: Trapped during a fire at a pharmaceutical factory, Jackson Day became exposed to psychoactive chemicals that transformed him into the malevolent person known as The Corruptor. Thor, who had arrived and attempted to rescue those still stranded by the fire found himself influenced by The Corruptor, who forced him to fight the newest hero at the time, none other than Rich Rider, as Nova. Jackson attempted to regain control of his mind and persona, at which time Thor was freed, and it was discovered that Jackson had developed a similar persona disorder seen in the fabled Doctor Jekyll / Mr. Hyde.

Despite medical treatment, the Corruptor persona eventually took complete control, and he escaped and formed an organization called The Inner Circle; ensnaring innocent people under his control. Unfortunately for Corruptor, one of those people was Charles Rider, Rich Rider (Nova’s) father – which drew Nova’s attention, who uncovered Corruptor’s scheme and defeated him.

Placed in Project: PEGASUS, Corruptor once again managed to break free – but this time remained in Project: PEGASUS and took over the minds of the entire Squadron Supreme with the intention of having them battle the Avengers. However, the Avengers managed to free Squadron Supreme from Corruptor’s influence, and he was placed in the prison on The Raft, where yet again, he escaped and returned home.

He had come up with a new plan, where plants were watered from drops of his own sweat, which allowed him to create a larger influence over the entire town, making himself the mayor of Smyrna, Delaware. His scheme was discovered by the New Warriors and the Corruptor was defeated again.

Height: 6’1″

Powers: The Corruptor’s body sweats a psychoactive chemical that, after he touches a victim, allows him to subvert his victim’s will. The chemical overrides his victims’ inhibition center of the brain, making them uninhibited, selfish, and immoral. The Corruptor can also use this to control his victims as they become susceptible to his suggestions. The full duration and extent of Day’s influence has yet to be determined, but he has maintained control over the entire Project: PEGASUS complex for a considerable amount of days, if not weeks.
