History: Dalton is first seen meeting up with his boss, Joe Manfredi. Joe assigns Dalton to get the Turbo outfit, worn by Michiko ‘Mickey’ Musashi, by any means necessary.

In his civilian occupation as an arson investigator with the New York City Fire Department, he arrives to the scene of the New Warriors headquarters being on fire, where he speaks with Turbo, and asks her to come in and speak with him. She arrives later, in her Turbo uniform, and he tells her that there’s been a string of warehouse fires lately, and suspects arson for each of them. She mentions that he looks young, and he explains that he’s fresh out of college and had only been working the job seven months. He then asks her out to coffee.

Later, Turbo, Nova, Namorita, Speedball and Aegis question Harley Traynor about shipping high-tech weapons; but find themselves being ambushed by Heavy Mettle instead. Heavy Mettle makes their escape by having the warehouse collapse into the bay, but Turbo still manages to capture Harley Traynor, who agrees to turn over on his boss. However, Joe Silvermane calls one of his corrupt officers to arrange an “accident” for Harley Traynor before he can cut a deal.

Dalton returns later, in civilian clothes to tell the New Warriors that they can use the old Fire Stations as their new headquarters, located down under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass.

Dalton meets Turbo for a date, and while out, a gas leak causes a massive explosion. They go to examine what’s going on, and discover that the gas leak has collapsed part of the building; going inside they discover that the explosions have drawn the attention of Moloids; and one of the humans draws his gun and begins firing. Dalton renders him unconscious and takes the gun from him and keeps it.

At her place, she tells Dalton to relax and that she would change clothes, revealing her true identity to Dalton, who still has the gun and aims to use it, get her armor, and collect his money from Silvermane.

However, while she has her back to him, talking about how comfortable and real she can be around him, he has his gun aimed at the back of her head – and finds that he can’t shoot her and puts the gun away, and embraces her in a deep kiss. The two go jogging later, where he nearly collides into a woman and her dog; and the two laugh. Later, as Turbo she goes to visit Dalton and sees him putting on his Firestrike costume, and begins attacking him, but he doesn’t retaliate, and instead explains that he believes he may be in love with her. Turbo drops him off to Namorita, Nova, Speedball and Aegis; and Aegis takes a crack at him, but he doesn’t fight back – instead he tells them about Joe Silverman’s operation.

When he returned back to the warehouse base, he finds himself under attack by his former team members, Heavy Mettle. However, with the assistance of the New Warriors, Heavy Mettle is captured and arrested – and, just as the police are rounding up Heavy Mettle, Turbo turns in Dalton.

She visits him in prison and explains that she’s still angry and hurt, but wants to see if things can be worked out. Dalton explains that while he would love that, and hearing that makes him happy, he can never see her again – because in order to build a case against Joe Silverman, Dalton will have to turn on him – and that will require Dalton going into the Witness Protection Program. He asks her to remember this moment – where he finally did the right thing.
