The issue bounces back and forth between Father Francis giving the sermon about the Feast of Santa Angela, then to Cloak, Dagger and Mayhem tracking down drug runners and asking about the shipment that’s supposed to come.

During the battle with the drug runners, Dagger’s light knives render all but one unconscious. When the drug runner refuses to talk, Mayhem grabs him and says that she once served the law, until her death – now she is above the law. She throws the drug runner into the shadows of Cloak’s robes where he is confronted by his greatest fears. Dagger steps in and offers a chance to save him; but he refuses to turn on “The Family” – and Dagger grows furious and leaves him inside of the darkness and leaves without him. When she steps out of Cloak’s shadows without the drug runner his is surprised by Dagger’s attitude, and eventually releases the drug runner, who is too far mentally gone by what he endured in the darkness. Dagger and Mayhem have a discussion where Dagger admits that she’s finding that some souls are not worth saving, despite her original mission.

Surprisingly it is Cloak who tells Dagger that what she feels is not right. That they must stop the drugs – but not at the cost of their own mission. They must punish the wicked, but save those who can be redeemed and saved. Mayhem listens to how Cloak talks to Dagger and realizes that Tyrone loves Tandy; more than just as a partner in crime.

Cloak, Dagger, and Mayhem notice they’re by the Holy Ghost Church and spot several officers talking to Father Francis about having been glad to help Father Francis find the religious icons used for the Feast of Santa Angela. Inside the Church, Cloak, Dagger and Mayhem confront Father Francis and warn him that some of the “flock” are actually drug pushers. Father Francis refuses to listen, so Cloak and Dagger teleport outside, and several of the drug pushers who are familiar with the work of Cloak & Dagger suspect they’ve been found out and draw their weapons. They fire at Cloak but an innocent man is shot in the process, so Mayhem gives chase while Dagger uses her light daggers to shatter all the religious icons, revealing bags of drugs inside of them. Cloak & Dagger then give chase to some of the fleeing drug smugglers, while Mayhem chases the other group. Mayhem kills without mercy, using the chemicals her body emits to make them violently sick, then paralyze them, so that no muscle can move – not even their hearts. Cloak & Dagger punish the drug smugglers they capture in the shadows of Cloak’s robe, and when Father Francis catches up he explains that now the drug shipment has been exposed, their mission is over.

Mayhem explains there’s still more corrupt officers on the Family’s payroll to find and punish; and Cloak & Dagger agrees that their mission is not over.

It’s only just begun.
